This Privacy Policy explains the data handling practices for Rest POS (“Software”, “Application”, or “App”) and our official website located at https://www.restpos.in (“Website”), owned and operated by The Ayat Enterprise (“we”, “us”, or “our”), registered in India.

We are committed to respecting and protecting the privacy of food business owners, restaurateurs, cashiers, and their dining customers in accordance with India's Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act, 2023 and the Information Technology Act, 2000.

2. Restaurant & Billing Data (100% Offline)

When you operate Rest POS on your Android smartphone, tablet, or POS terminal:

• Sales & Billing Records: Items ordered, table numbers, bill totals, taxes, discounts, and payment methods (Cash vs. UPI) are stored solely in your device's local SQLite database.
• Customer Information: If you optionally enter a customer's name or phone number on an invoice or receipt, that record is kept strictly within your offline local database.
• Menu Catalog & Pricing: Recipes, item names, categories, and inventory counts never leave your hardware.
• Zero Cloud Telemetry: We do not track what you sell, your daily turnover, or your profit margins.

Rest POS requests only the minimal technical permissions essential to perform counter operations:

4. Local Encrypted Backup System

Rest POS features an automated background backup system. Upon the completion of a transaction or when triggered manually, a snapshot of your database is archived using AES-256 encryption with SHA-256 cryptographic integrity verification.

These backup files reside exclusively in your chosen local Android folder, SD card, or local drive. You retain 100% custody and control of your backup archives at all times.

5. Website Data & Contact Inquiries

When you visit our public website (restpos.in) or reach out to our team:

• Direct Communications: When you contact us via WhatsApp (+91 7074018142) or email (theayatenterprise@gmail.com), we receive your phone number, email address, and message history solely for customer support, technical onboarding, and license activation.
• Website Analytics: We may use privacy-preserving, cookieless aggregated server logs (e.g. Cloudflare Analytics) to monitor website health and prevent DDoS attacks. We do not sell tracking profiles to advertising brokers.

6. Zero Sale of Data

We do not sell, rent, lease, or monetize your personal or commercial business data to any third party. Period.

Your restaurant data is strictly your property. Unlike cloud aggregator POS platforms that mine your dining volumes to launch competing dark kitchens or share customer lists with predatory marketing agencies, Rest POS provides complete digital sovereignty.
